ACEO Team
ACEO is co-owned by Jeremiah DiMatteo and Lance Morris. The company was started to assist the young musician/producers in promoting their art as well as the art of others. Our support team grows regularly so check back soon to see our newest team member.
Jeremiah DiMatteo – Jeremiah began his career in music at the age of 11 playing the electric and upright bass. His attraction to the lower frequencies continued through high school and carried on to award Jeremiah a Bachelor of Music in Double Bass Performance at the University of Houston in the spring of 2004. Upon graduation, the aspiring bassist was pleased to graduate but was equally discouraged by the realization that without an instrument of his own, playing bass professionally would be rather difficult. At this time, Jeremiah became fascinated with electronic music recording and production. Long nights in the practice room changed into countless hours programming sequencers and drum machines as well as editing and recording samples. Jeremiah still considers himself a performing musician at heart and looks forward to the day when he can combine his production and performance skills with the upright bass again. “…I really do miss my bass but for now, I’ll just use this drum machine to let it all out.” Although music and sound have been the focus of education, Jeremiah has also found time to study many aspects of graphic design and the IT field, which have broadened the teams skill set. Because of this, Jeremiah has found himself working on computers almost as much as drum beats.

Lance Morris – Although Lance and Jeremiah did not become partners until later in life, they actually followed a similar foundational path. Lance began his musical training in the heart of the orchestra but was also drawn to other ensembles by his love of sound. The orchestra had much to offer the young musician as he would learn to play upright bass, cello and viola. The broadness of Lance’s education also came from his time in the band hall playing bass clarinet and electric bass for the school jazz group. It was at this time that the journey began but the future would have much more to hold.
Lance’s introduction to music production began in 1997 as a result of his involvement in the underground DJ scene. Lance held residencies at several Houston night clubs, lounges and after-hours clubs as part of Platinum Assault Productions under the alias, Kimchee Kid. This group of professional DJs hosted “Platinum Sundays” at Ambrosia, Club Space, Club Vision and Rich’s Night Club as well as “Tantric Nights” at Aztecas. Lance also had the great opportunity to play at several large events along with some of the scene’s pioneers like; Chris Anderson, DRC, Donald Glaude, and Eddie Amador. It was during this time that Lance first started producing his own music and became inspired to further his education with formal training. Lance started his education at Houston Community College, which is home to some of the best educators in audio engineering and studio production.
